Erin Carey – Barron | Owner/Artistic Director

Miss Erin has 26 years combined experience as both dancer and teacher. She holds a B.S. in Child Development, Child and Adolescent Studies from California State University of Fullerton as well as a Master Degree in Education and a Teaching Credential in Physical Education.  Her professional ambitions include teaching physical education at the High School level and coaching a High School dance team to compete at a national level. Ms. Erin is trained in jazz, hip hop, musical theatre, contemporary, lyrical, ballet, and tap. She has trained at various studios in Southern California – The Garage in Pasadena, The Edge in Hollywood, 1na Dance in Diamond Bar, and Talent Factory in Chino. She won her first National Solo Title at age six and was the principle dancer in the Nutcracker and Velveteen Rabbit for Orange County Ballet at age nine and eleven. She was also an Ayala song leader four year member and Varsity captain and Varsity Unity captain. During her time with Ayala song she won Most Dedicated and Most Spirited. Erin has successfully run a competition dance studio since the age of 18.  She has also held the positions of Dance Team Coach/Choreographer for Townsend Junior High School, Competition Jazz Choreographer for Norco High and Alta Loma HS, and Coach/Choreographer for the Chino Hills Junior All American Football cheerleaders.

Ms. Erin is currently coaching and choreographing for Chino Hills High School Dance Team where she has trained a variety of dancers for the past 11 years.  Her competition accomplishments in the High School Dance Circuit include: choreography and coaching of Coast to Coast 10 time National Medium Lyrical, Novelty, and Large Jazz champions with Chino Hills High School.  Erin was also awarded the “Coach of the Year” award in 2017 from the CADTD State Board.  She has also choreographed many national and regional top overall solo, duo, trio, and group dances in the All-Star and Dance circuit. Her incredible choreography will be showcased as she teaches a wide variety of styles. Erin is very excited to be able to spread her passion and love for the art form of dance.


Jessica Secuya – Competition Faculty

Ms. Jessica V. has been dancing since she was 3 years old. At the age of 5, she was on Star Search with Ed McMahon. When she was 11, she made an appearance on the Miami-based show, “Quiero Ser Estrella”. Among various television appearances, she was a member of the cast on a PBS children’s series produced in Florida which aired nationwide for several years. She has appeared in various television commercials including ads for Dole Pineapple Juice, Target and McDonalds. She was a 4-year Varsity member and captain of the Diamond Bar High School Dance Team. Throughout her high school dance career, she was awarded Dancer of the Year both her Junior and Senior years. In 2006, she was a winner of the Miss Diamond Bar Pageant and hosted many charity events, including the Special Olympics. While attending college in Fullerton in 2007, she was a member of the Fullerton College Dance Team. She appeared in an episode of So You Think You Can Dance – Season 2. She was also a 2-year member (2008/2009) of the Chivagirls Professional Dance Team that performs for the Chivas USA MLS soccer team. She has performed at many venues, including theaters throughout the Los Angeles area, the Beverly Wilshire Hotel and most recently at the Hollywood Bowl. Ms. Jessica is looking forward to her graduation in June from UCLA with a degree in Psychology.  Ms. Jessica’s extensive training in tap is a great asset to all of the student’s and DDC and she is excited to share her gift with them.

Kayla Dufour – Competition Faculty

Miss Kayla has been dancing since she was 5 years old and has been teaching and choreographing sine the age of 15. She has trained under numerous award winning choreographers throughout Southern California. Kayla has choreographed for Martin Luther King High School, Redlands East Valley High School and Kristi’s Forever Dancin’ Dance Studio. She is also head Song coach for Redlands East Valley High School. Kayla attended college at the University of Nevada Las Vegas where she studied as a dance major and then transferred to California State University of Fullerton where she graduated with her BA in English. She was also a member of the California State University of Fullerton Dance Team and received their thirteenth national title in 2014.


Jason Bittner – Competition Faculty

Jason started his dance training at the school of the Ohio Dance Theater under the direction of Denise Gula and Nancy Brensthl. As a pre-professional scholarship student, Jason has performed in many ballets including the nutcracker, house in the woods, the gathering, peter and the wolf, and more. In 2001, Jason received the promising artist award from the university of the arts. Spending two semesters abroad, he had the unique opportunity to study with the Paris Opera Ballet and also attended many master classes in Madrid. With universal entertainment, Jason has performed with such recording artists as Aaron Carter, Take 5 and Samantha Mumba.

Currently Jason is the Director of the nationally ranked Esperanza High School Varsity Dance Team.

As a choreographer, Jason has had many great opportunities to create original works for dance studios, high schools, colleges, dance companies and events around the country. He has won many awards for his choreography including the national choreography achievement award from star systems national finals in 2005, the directors award from spotlight dance nationals in 2009 and an outstanding choreography award from bravo national dance competition in 2011.  With a background in Ballet and Modern, Jason brings a high level of technique and creativity to his classes and choreography.


Risa Anderson – Hip Hop Faculty

Risa Anderson is an accomplished dancer, coach, and teacher from Claremont, California. Her passion has not been extinguished for over 20 years. She has earned numerous accolades in that time in genres as diverse as contemporary, jazz, and hip hop. These awards include two USA Dance National Hip Hop Championships, Best of the West Jr. Hip Hop Division Championship, and Sharp International High Point Awards, just to name a few. Risa believes, although winning is great, what students learn through their journey is more important.

Dedication, perseverance, and integrity are the ingredients to Risa’s successful recipe. She infuses these values into all of her teams and students to build a strong foundation, no matter their prior experience. Mrs. Anderson has also been a professional judge for 15 years in national competitions. Her training is in cheerleading, tumbling, ballet, and tap, along with her jazz and hip hop roots. She is a professional dancer who has worked with influential choreographers and artists. Risa has choreographed for professional dance teams such as the Los Angeles Clippers and Clipper Kids, as well as musical artists Aundrea of “Danity Kane” and pop singer “Emle”.

She owned a professional dance and cheer studio and continues to teach all over Southern California. Risa is at home in the Inland Empire as she has studied Dance at the Collegiate level and Completed her Designated Subject Credential. She is the Director of Dance  at  The School of Arts and Enterprise and coaches the school’s award-winning Dance company. Her goal is to make every student feel that they can develop a love for dance. Risa strives to inspire dancers to want to learn as much as they possibly can while they are young and give them the tools to succeed in the classrooms, and the dancers’ future career.

Andrea Johnson – Hip Hop Faculty

Andrea Johnson has been training in a variety of dance styles, but has focused mostly in hip hop for 12 years . She is  a versatile dancer continuing her training in all genres at the School of Arts and Enterprise as well as many other studios .  Andrea danced professionally for the Los Angeles Clippers and has been teaching Hip Hop at different recreational studios and schools.  Andrea is currently teaching at The School of Arts and Enterprise, and is a professional dancer as a part of The Helix – Developing Next Artist. Andrea is looking forward to sharing her knowledge of hip hop with the new up and coming dance community.
